NYS Queens Pavilion

1964 World Fair was about advancement and advance we did, a bit much perhaps. We have museums, theaters, skating rings, baseball stadiums in full gear yet not many event spaces free and open to the public. Thats why outdoor projects like the Highline have become very successful.

Therefore our project is a spiral park with multiple functions. It can be a street fair, cultural celebration, antique market, sculpture park, or music festival.  With 20' wide wheelchair accessible ramps and flat platforms with canopies, it is the perfect marriage of the Guggenheim and the Highline. It is a light weight steel structure carried by the existing columns with bird like canopies dancing around our landmark: NYS Pavillion.
