Desi Shack is a new Indian fast-food chain in Manhattan. Studio Vural is privileged to design its first branch on Lexington Avenue at the corner of 39th st. Our initial studies focused on the creation of a generative diagram, an informative set of abstract lines to give life to the project. As our bottom 5 slides illustrate, an indian arabesque pattern was developed and transformed into three dimensional interior elements. Later in the design process, this strategy was replaced, by client preference, with a minimal design style. Desi Shack has just opened and their food is fabulous.
